文学中的“终极关怀”:中国比较文学学会第十三届学会“比较文学与宗教研究”圆桌论坛综述

Abstract:

The “Comparative Literature and Religious Studies” Roundtable of the 13th Triennial Congress of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association (CCLA) was held at Guangxi University, Nanning, China, from July 24-26 2021, under the theme “Ultimate Concern in Literature.” 22 scholars from various universities and institutions in China, the UK and the US were invited to present papers. During the three-day meeting, a range of issues were discussed by participants, from the significance and extension of the Ultimate to how literature expresses “Ultimate Concern”; “Ultimate Concern” in classical civilization; the modernity and “Ultimate Concern”, and the religious dimension of “Ultimate Concern”. This review outlines the papers presented at the Roundtable and their major findings.
