Weil on the Beauty of World

Abstract:

The beauty of the world, as Weil understands it, is the order and law of the world. From the perspective of matter, the law of the world is a complete necessity and the violence of matter. But precisely for this reason, the beauty of the world, as a kind of necessity, is the accuracy of the cosmos, which is limited by God`s mind. Through examining the law of the world and the violence of matter, we can find the road towards transcendence from matter to mind and from gravity to grace.
